First Appointment FAQs
Q: Do you take X-rays on every patient?
A: Our office does not have an X-ray unit onsite. When clinically indicated, we will send our patients to their preferred imaging facility for advanced imaging.
Q: What happens in the first appointment?
A: During your first appointment, Dr. LoRang will take a detailed history and perform an examination. The examination will consist of neurological and orthopedic exams, as well as functional assessments like gait analysis, postural analysis, and motion palpation.
Dr. LoRang may also wish to observe the specific movement patterns (like running, lifting, sitting at a desk, etc.) that worsen any symptoms to determine the best treatment. Depending on the results of this exam, Dr. LoRang may provide treatment on the first visit and provide exercises to perform at home. If necessary, he may send out for X-rays or other advanced imaging procedures.
Q: What is a typical care plan like?
A: At Capital Chiropractic, there is no typical care plan. Every patient receives a customized assessment that incorporates clinical findings and their personal wellness goals. Together with Dr. LoRang, patients discuss their short-term and long-term goals for pursuing their best lives.
If Dr. LoRang determines that Capital Chiropractic is not the appropriate starting point for your care, he will make an appropriate referral to help you on your health journey.
Q: What types of treatments do you offer?
A: At Capital Chiropractic & Rehabilitation Center, we are in pursuit of your best life. That is why every patient receives specialized, personalized care that takes into account their goals, clinical findings, and examination results. Treatments may include joint manipulation, soft tissue treatments, acupuncture/dry needling, therapeutic and rehabilitation exercise, self treatment, home exercise, and nutrition.
