We are excited to welcome Malay Bouaphakeo of Full Pursuit Life Coaching to the East Village as of June 2014. Learn more about why Malay chose this neighborhood and what she does with Full Pursuit from our recent conversation:

CCRC: Why did you decide to open in the East Village?

Malay: I decided on the EV because of the culture and uniqueness of this part of the city holds. The vibe is trendy, laid back and accepting of the arts and culture. With that in mind, my heart, which is the backbone to full pursuit, was set on becoming a part of the EV!

What did you do before launching Full Pursuit?

I have and am currently working as a Sr. Resource Specialist at Paragon IT. I recruit IT professionals for companies in Des Moines on a full time or contract basis. I coach IT professionals through their career paths and move them to places where they can reach their career goals and get something accomplished professionally that they aren’t quite getting at their current job.

How do you hope to help people?

I hope to facilitate the process of thinking and being and becoming the person they have always had inside of them. I dig deeper with people than may have within themselves in the past and together I hope to help people set out goals and experience the feeling of accomplishing something they never thought possible.

Anything else?

Some people may not understand coaching or are curious to know more about it, so reach out to me. The first step is always the hardest, but once you do that, everything else will come with time and hard work.
